FLASHINGS & TRIMS
Flashings play a vital role in sealing and protecting the perimeter of a building envelope, helping to prevent water ingress and ensure long-term weatherproofing. In addition to their practical function, flashings can also enhance the appearance of a building, serving as an architectural feature when manufactured in colours that complement or contrast with the main façade.
Flashings are available in a wide variety of forms, with some of the most common including barge boards, ridge caps, drips, abutments and header flashings.
Thanks to our CNC manufacturing equipment and fabrication expertise, there are very few limitations on the size, shape, or complexity of the flashings we can produce. We are able to manufacture an extensive range of bespoke flashings tailored to the specific requirements of your project.

We manufacture everything to order. We do not hold flashings in stock due to the sheer variation in colour, material, shape and size that SEFAB are able to offer.

Flashings can be manufactured in plastisol and painted finishes, aluminium and pre-galvanised sheet.
We hold a large range of materials, in various colour, finish and gauge from different manufacturers. Additionally, we can source any non-stock requirements on a quick turnaround from our reliable supply train partners.
THE SEFAB FLASHINGS GUIDE
Most flashings are made in 3m lengths as standard, however, we can manufacture to lengths up to 4m subject to material stock.
Welts (safety edges) can be applied along the lengths of the flashings if required.

Flashings & Trims related FAQ’s
Made from galvanised steel, flashings are typically used on commercial, industrial and agricultural steel-clad buildings. They are used to seal the perimeter of the buildings to divert water away from openings, thus preventing water penetration and seepage.
There are many types of flashings, but the following are the most common:
- Roof/Ridge Flashing
- Eaves Flashing
- Corner/Barge Flashing
- Drip Flashing
- Abutment Flashing
- Valley Flashing
- Sill Flashing
The shape and size of flashings are almost limitless, and therefore, all of our flashings are made to order to the customer’s specific design.

Due to the corrosive nature of the salt air in coastal areas, no product will have the same lifetime as those located some distance inland.
Therefore, different coatings offer different lifetimes, and therefore, please contact our sales team for advice on the specific coating to meet your requirements.
Carrying out regular maintenance and cleaning of the flashings will also prolong the lifespan of the material.
The flashings require minimal maintenance. They should be cleaned periodically, thereby removing any debris which could lead to corrosion.
If any issues are identified, prompt repairs or re-coating can extend their service life. Proper maintenance can help preserve their appearance and functionality.
Our standard turnaround for flashings is five working days. However, therefore, we are able to accommodate 24 and 48-hour turnarounds subject to prior notice and our workload at the time of order.
