What are Cedral Weatherboard Trims?

Cedral Weatherboard Trims are purpose made aluminium finishing profiles used with Cedral Weatherboard cladding (lap and click). They don’t form the cladding itself, instead they provide neat edges, corner joints, ventilation details and weather protection around the boards.

Which profiles do you manufacture?

We manufacture all the Cedral lap profiles and the lintel, external corner and internal corner profiles for the Click system. All profiles are colour matched.

Can you make bespoke profiles to use on our Cedral Weatherboard cladding project?

Yes, we can. If you require a non-standard trim then we can manufacture a colour matched profile to your measurements, within machinery limitations.

What is powder coating?

Powder coating is a dry finishing process used to apply a durable, protective, and decorative coating to metal (mild steel, galvanised, aluminium). A fine powder (made of resin, pigments and additives) is sprayed onto the surface using an electrostatic gun. The powder particles become electrically charged and stick to the grounded object. The powder is then cured in an oven where the powder melts, flows and hardens into a smooth, durable finish.

What are the advantages of powder coating?

It is more durable than many liquid paints. It is resistant to chipping, scratching, fading and corrosion. It is available in an almost infinite range of colours and texture. It is environmentally friendly (contains little or no solvents). It provides and even, attractive finish.

What materials can be powder coated?

Powder coating works best on materials that can hold an electrical charge during application and withstand the curing temperature without being damaged. Commonly powder coated materials include steel (mild steel, carbon steel), aluminium, galvanised steel, cast iron, stainless steel, and some copper, brass and other metal alloys.

Can you replicate any profiled sheet?

There are some capability limitations with our machinery, but we can hand press most box profile sheet profiles.

Can you manufacture corrugated profile sheets?

Unfortunately, we are unable to produce corrugated sheets.

We can identify the sheet profile for you. We will require a few sheet dimensions and then we can identify the manufacturer and profile.

Are you able to make ‘one-off’ fabrications?

Providing we have the capability to manufacture your component then yes, we are happy to manufacture ‘one-offs’. We are also happy to manufacture multiples.
