What lengths are the gutters available in?

Typically, to match stock material, gutters are manufactured in 3m lengths, however a limited range of finishes and colours can be offered in 4m lengths.

When are heavy duty gutters used?

Heavy duty gutters are usually used on agricultural/industrial buildings, but smaller gutters can also be used for domestic applications.

What material thickness are the gutters manufactured from?

Trimline gutters are typically manufactured from 0.7mm thick pre-finished (plastisol or polyester) coated material. Heavy duty commercial/industrial gutters are typically manufactured from 1.5mm, 2.0mm or 3.0mm thick pre-galvanised sheet or aluminium, depending on application and budget.

What is the expected lifespan of the gutters?

All the gutters should last more than 15-20 years subject to quality of installation and maintenance periods. The lifespan of the gutters can be greatly increased by the application of a bitumen paint inside the gutter, particularly at any joints.

Do you supply the Cedral Weatherboard planks?

We do not supply the planks, but our sister company does and we can provide contact details upon enquiry.

What are the limitations of powder coating?

The main limitation is the size of the component to be powder coated for handling purposes and whether it will fit inside the curing oven. To enable the powder to be applied, the component needs to be hung from a frame, so if there are no hanging points on the component itself, small hanging holes will need to be made in the component to enable it to be hung for painting. In addition, powder coating does not hide poor surface conditions very well, such as rust, oil contamination and dents/scratches.

What is the maximum sheet length that you can manufacture?

We typically manufacture the sheets in lengths up to 3.0m. For a limited range of materials and finishes, we can manufacture up to 3.6m in length.

Can you show us examples of previous work you have carried out?

Whilst all the work we carry out ends up with the customer, we do sometimes take photographs of the finished product that we can show you. In addition, we have examples of various profiles that we can show you to give you an idea of our folding capabilities. You are also welcome to be shown around our workshop to look at our machinery and working practices.

Can you cut the flat sheets into smaller sizes?

We can cut the sheets using out guillotines into your required sizes. Send us a cutting list and we’ll work everything out for you.

What rainwater ancillaries are available to finish off the rainwater system?

We can supply gutter outlets, hoppers, downpipes, swannecks, brackets etc to complete your rainwater system. Everything we manufacture is bespoke so please contact us with your requirements and we will be happy to talk through your options.
