GUTTERS
We can manufacture a range of gutters to your specifications. These are predominately used on industrial and agricultural buildings but can sometimes be used on smaller domestic projects.
Below are the different types of gutters we can supply
TRIMLINE GUTTERS
Trimline box gutters are high capacity gutters that are designed to suit buildings with profiled steel roofing and cladding. The gutter can be manufactured to match the finish and colour of the cladding or steel flashings of the building.
The gutters are manufactured in 3m lengths as standard but we are able to offer some colour and finishes in 4m lengths.
We are able to manufacture the gutters in 0.7mm thick material in the following finishes:
- Plastisol Leathergrain or Colourcoat HPS200
- Polyetser coated
- Silver PVdF or Prisma finishes
- Plain galvanised steel finish
- Aluminium (0.9mm thick plain finish)
Galvanised and aluminium gutters can be powder coated to specified RAL numbers if required.
Trimline gutters are manufactured in 3m lengths as standard and are joined together using 150mm long, internal butt straps.
These are secured in place with sealant and either rivets or stitcher screws.
The majority of trimline gutters are fixed to a building using gutter support arms.
In order to manufacture a trimline gutter with support arms that are positioned correctly, we will require the profile depth of the roof sheets and the angle of roof pitch.
If you are unsure of the sheet profile please contact us and we will try to identify it.
Stop ends are supplied loose and should be fixed to the gutter run using either rivets or stitcher screws along with sealant to ensure water tightness. Outlets for trimline gutters can be supplied as either a galvanised steel or aluminium top hat section in either 63mm, 75mm or 100mm diameter depending on the downpipe size used.
Square downpipes can be fabricated in 3m lengths to suit the material of the trimline gutters. Swan-necks and shoes can also be manufactured.
HEAVY DUTY BOX GUTTERS
We can manufacture heavy duty box gutters in galvanised steel or aluminium to your specifications.
Heavy duty gutters are mainly used on industrial and agricultural buildings but can sometimes be found used as valley gutters on domestic buildings.
Box or valley gutters can be manufactured in many shapes and sizes depending on the application and can be produced in different thicknesses (usually 1.5mm or 2.0mm).
The gutters are predominantly manufactured in 3m lengths but can be produced in 4m lengths. They can be joined in two ways:
- Internal butt strap system using nuts, bolts and mastic which require drilling as required (nuts, bolts and mastic will need ordering separately).
- Joggle jointed system – a female end is pressed into one end of the gutter and holes punched in both ends for the nuts and bolts (all nuts/bolts/washer and mastic are supplied with the joggle jointed gutter). Captive nuts can be fixed to the gutter if there is no underside access to the gutter.
Stop ends can be supplied welded in place or loose to be fixed on site with nuts/bolts/mastic.
Stop ends with weir outlets can also be fabricated to your specifications.
Gutter outlets are supplied as either galvanised or aluminium top hat section in either 63mm, 75mm, 100mm or 150mm diameter.
Square downpipes can be supplied in 3m lengths. Swan-necks and shoes can also be manufactured to your requirements.
MEMBRANE LINED GUTTERS
We are able to supply pre-bonded membrane lined gutters. The 1.2mm thick PVC membrane which incorporates a tread pattern is factory bonded to a 1.2mm galvanised substrate.
The membrane is heat welded to itself at the joints on site which provides a water tight seal.
The sheets are provided with a flap one end to reduce welding on site.
